Peripheral Matter
Cones, signs and barriers lie abandoned in neglect and decay, absorbed by the entropy of the street. They have been reduced to fragments on the edge of our field of vision, and are only acknowledged if they are a hindrance to our journey.
They have lost their original function. They no longer create order, but instead find themselves in a state of chaos. Through composition, the images attempt to re-establish a form of order that these discarded objects can be part of.
The photographs appear both abstract and concrete, they isolate and appear almost personifying.
Viewers are therefore forced to acknowledge the overlooked that is otherwise only registered peripherally.
